RATES & COST ━━━━━━━━━━
I take payment through Paypal. I will send you an invoice, and for the payment will use the goods and services option, for your protection.
After I have done some research for materials based on your reference, I will send you a spreadsheet of material costs. I will then ask for payment for materials up front. Once material costs are bought, I will purchase materials to start your commission. If there are materials that I need after the fact that I did not account for initially, I will add the cost of those materials to the final labor cost and message you. I will not start the commission until materials have been paid for in-full.
I charge for labor based on hours tracked via google sheets/excel, to keep it fair. My rate starts at $15/hr. Difficulty of the project may increase this, but this is the usual estimate.
I will be keeping track of an estimated amount of hours that I spend on a cosplay, in a timesheet that I will send to you, as I complete parts of the cosplay. Usually, cosplays will take 10-40 hours, depending on the amount of pieces I’m making, or how simple/complicated it is. On average it usually takes me about 20-40 hours to complete a full cosplay. Please keep in mind it may exceed the average depending on difficulty.
Once the costume is done I’ll send you a final picture. (Turn around and close ups). If it is to your satisfaction, I’ll finalize the time sheet and send you an invoice for labor costs and shipping costs.
SHIPPING ━━━━━━━━━━
Due to the current nature of COVID-19 affecting shipping arrival times, I ship First Class & Priority Mail with tracking. If you have another method you’d prefer to be mailed, please let me know. I am based in the NYC/NJ area, so please keep this in mind with shipping arrival time and possible delays.
I am more than willing to work out payment plans! Please specify your concerns in your inquiry.
ADJUSTMENTS & REFUND POLICY ━━━━━━━━━━
If you wish to cancel the commission while it is being made, I will send you all the materials. Labor will be charged at 40% of the total of the cosplay. Shipping must be paid by you, however, you may choose the shipping type you wish for it to arrive by.
Once the commission is finished and you have received it, I will not allow refunds of labor costs.
However, if there are any adjustments that have to be done (any sizing and/or pieces to be fixed or remade) AFTER the commission is finished, I will do them free of charge, so as long as you are willing to cover the shipping. I want to make sure your cosplay fits you to your liking 100%!
CONDITIONS ━━━━━━━━━━
I can not take rush orders of any sort (orders with less than a 2 month notice deadline). At the moment, I can only take on commissions if there’s either a) a 3-6 month period before the event it is needed by or b) no set deadline, to which the commission will be made on a schedule I have set for myself. Please let me know this information in your request!
Important note: I work a 9-5 full-time job with a 2 hour commute both ways on weekdays (Mon-Fri), so commission work is done primarily on weekends, and most late weeknights. Progress and/or replies during a week day may be limited to the evening, so please be patient with me!
I have the right to turn down a commission offer I’m not comfortable with making, whether it be due to time constraints or due to a lack of confidence in my ability to execute the process. I may also refer you to another trusted sewer. I will make the determination after I have viewed your references and researched materials.
I will send an email and/or a twitter message to you with updates as often as possible, and I will be transparent if things have delayed any progress.
If you post any sort of photograph (professional or not) with my work please credit me. You may also link or tag my profiles and website!
